"I began incorporating marine phytoplankton into my diet over 8 years ago, and after recognizing the incredible benefits and shift in my overall vitality, I decided to introduce our own, carefully sourced phytoplankton onto our drinks menus at the Real Coconut Kitchen in Tulum, Mexico.
Marine phytoplankton became one of what I call my ‘hero ingredients’, and the only whole food ‘supplement’ that I personally use. Over the past years, tens of thousands of our restaurant customers in Tulum, and then in Malibu, have been able to experience the incredible effects of Phytovive and enjoy the creative recipes we have used to deliver this powerful whole food powder into drinks such as our Phyto Green, and my personal go-to recipe which became known as, Daniella’s Daily Dose.
Due to popular demand, Phytovive became available in powder and capsule form, for all our passionate devotees to use at home, with easy shipping within the US, and many other countries.”

Our Source
Due to increasing marine pollution, we chose to produce our Phytovive phytoplankton in the Netherlands, in a sustainable algae farm using a pristine water source - an ancient subterranean seawater aquifer, free of pollutants, allowing the phytoplankton to bloom under natural daylight conditions, with no need for additional water or land. Our Phytovive is then directly packed, unrefined and with no additives, resulting in a pure, food grade powder of the highest quality, full of health-boosting vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Importance of Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Omega-3 fatty acid EPA is an essential fatty acid which is necessary for our health and as the name implies, is essential to gain from our diet as our bodies cannot generate this for ourselves. All EPA originates from marine microalgae, which is then consumed by marine fish such as salmon, tuna, and krill, and makes its way up the food chain. Marine phytoplankton is the only bio-available form of vegan Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and by going to the basis of the ocean food chain, we can receive the full benefits of this incredible food source. Plant oils such as hemp and flax do not contain EPA, and while they do contain other essential Omega-3 fatty acids in ALA form, these must be converted by the body into EPA.
